Yesterday was 10% Off Flower Friday at Liberty Health Sciences, so I couldn’t help but head over and pick up a couple strains that I’ve never tried before. One of those strains is Star Killer @ 19.1% THC. I’ve heard a lot of great things about Star Killer in the time I’ve been in the Florida Medical Marijuanabanana program so I’m pretty excited to give it a try.
Star Killer was the winner of the Best Hybrid Flower award at the 2016 Colorado Cannabis Cup. It is an Indica-dominant hybrid that is a result of a cross between Mazar x Blueberry OG and Rare Dankness #2. The buds on this strain are extremely dense but the poor mechanical trim job leaves a lot of fluffiness on the outside of the buds in the form of sugar leaves. This strain has a slightly spicy celery seed aroma to it at first, but once the buds are broken up, they emit a stronger aroma with an undertone of burnt rubber to it.
Normally priced at $40 an eighth, the 10% Off Flower Friday sale brings the price down to a reasonable $36. Not a fantastic deal, but a decent one. The strong effects of this strain do their part to make up for all the sugar leaves left by the poor trim job.
